Dear Parents,
Happy New Year!
We wrapped up our CAPS FOR SALE exploration just before winter break. There were experiences ranging from theatrical performances to the writing of original stories to becoming peddlers and making wares to sell that were carried on custom-made hats or to be “sold” at a market. All sizes of trees were created and children became monkeys and peddlers in the form of: art, in play (think: jumping on the bed!) and in experiences of mimicking and balancing. Teachers are working on putting together photos and information about all that we did in our small groups. Look for that documentation in the coming weeks!
You may have heard, we are now blasting toward exploring the MOON from the comfort of our school! No NASA training or field trip forms required. We are just beginning to explore this new topic and finding out what the children’s interests, curiosities and ideas are. It is a joy to share books, have discussions, and ask questions about what they would like to do as we begin our new path of discovery. Stay tuned!
Studio Discovery Friday continues to be centered on the CONIFEROUS FOREST. We have wrapped up the FOREST FLOOR and are on to the UNDERSTORY.

SUMMER & FALL 2026 SCHEDULE REQUESTS
Due to the accelerated push for scheduling out there in the “world” around us, we need to send this out a bit earlier than the previous year. Please fill out your request for Summer/Fall 2026 and return to us by THURSDAY OR FRIDAY, JANUARY 22nd/23rd. If you have any questions or thoughts about sorting the requests out, steer them in Janet’s direction. Thanks.
Parenting Discussion Night
We are happy to announce our next discussion night!We will be available for the next gathering at FnF on Wednesday evening January 28th from 6:30 to 7:30. We will continue these gatherings throughout the school year so drop in if and when you want.
*Unfortunately our space is not big enough to accommodate a discussion group and child care.

Valentine’s Day
We will be celebrating on Thursday and Friday, February 12 & 13.
Your children are invited to bring Valentines for their friends on Thursday or Friday. For children of preschool age it is best to have them write their own names on the cards and leave the envelopes blank. You can buy pre-packaged Valentines or join them in making their own creations. Bring 21 cards for the Thursday group and 21 cards for the Friday group. We will share them during our Valentine’s Day festivities.
If you would like to contribute to our celebration, we will have a sign-up available closer to time.
